Scott Guidry, Principal, RA
A native of the New Orleans area, Scott grew up in rural Louisiana, where the simplicity of small-town life taught him the true meaning of community—a place where people matter, needs are met, and the well-being of the many takes precedence. This deep appreciation for community has profoundly shaped Scott’s approach to design and architecture. As a registered architect with a passion for creating spaces that make a difference, Scott founded designshop to bring his people-first perspective to life in every project.
As designshop’s founder and principal, Scott ensures that each client’s design reflects a commitment to human connection. He believes the best spaces are those that foster seamless interaction and bring people together.
With over 30 years of experience in creating destinations in Memphis, Scott has become a leading voice in urban redevelopment and community strengthening. His passion for revitalizing downtown areas and enhancing community life has taken him beyond Memphis, as he continues to bring his people-first perspective to projects across Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.
Scott resides in East Memphis with his wife, Tanya, and their daughter, Sara. When he’s not shaping the built environment, he enjoys creating custom furniture pieces and indulging his passion for automobile design.
