Thang Nguyen, Architectural Designer

Thang is an architectural designer from Vietnam. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture and Interior Architecture along with a Master of Architecture degree.

His capstone project took a deep dive into Vietnamese architectural identity and how it is expressed in a Western geopolitical context. This project combined design and research to propose a new form for the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C., which worked within a studied framework of contemporary vernacular Vietnamese architecture.

Thang is passionate about architecture because it is not a one-size-fits-all field and it requires constant learning and adapting. He is relentless in his pursuit of better designs and often pushes beyond the comfortable boundary. He contributes firm-wide to conceptual studies, construction documents, 3D models, and design visualizations.
